Description
I cannot keep the Office XP automation package installed. It is removed every time I close RAD studio. Often I open up to a form that uses a component and it immediately tells me the Excel component does not exist and I get the Ignore / Cancel options. I cancel, yet again open the Install Packages dialog, check the package I want to add, then reopen the form and it is OK until the next time I close Delphi/RAD studio.
Steps to Reproduce:
In Install Packages, check the "Microsoft Office XP Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components" package (optionally check the "Default" checkbox - it makes no difference). Create a project, add an Excel Application component to the form. Save the project etc. (Note: this works best if you auto save project desktop and editor files). Next close RAD Studio. Start RAD Studio and open the form (or have it automatically open due to the auto save options) and it will say the component doesn't exist Ignore Cancel. Now go back into Install Packages, rinse, repeat ad infinitum.
Workarounds
Click cancel when it reports the component missing, add it again for this session and continue work. Do this *every time* you restart RAD studio
