Typing Control-Z to undo the previous operation almost always results in the .xml.php file being corrupted (I say almost always, because I can't remember ever seeing it succeed).

The workaround to this issue is not really a workaround, but I would suggest that not using the Undo functionality, and backing up every few minutes.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a page.
2. Add a few components to the page.
3. Move the components on the page and change a few properties.
4. Type Control-Z.

I'd just like to clarify that Control-Z seems to work in Code view, just not in Design view.
