Description
I downloaded InterBase XE3 Update 4
http://cc.embarcadero.com/item/29796

Run "extract files only". And whatever drive and folder I use, I get error message

The file '***Failed***\examples\database\employee.gdb' could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory.
This happens after some successful file extraction, right after
File Copy: D:\IB2012\Update4\examples\\granttmp.sql

Did you launch the updater on a PC(InterBase is NOT installed on it) ?

Dmitry Kuzmenko at 4/17/2014 12:05:59 PM -
well, yes, at the moment I tried, current interbase install was kind of "disabled" (by instreg).
I returned it back, and
"Extract files only" successfuly extracted all files in to new subdirectory.

I wonder, why updater needs IB to be installed just to extract files?

Thanks, you may close this.
