I tried the "Hello World" test project in HTML5 Builder and was surprised to find that the Text property setting in the Edit box did not get reflected in the value of $Edit1.Text when I used the echo command to display it. The same happened if I typed something into the text box. However, if I assigned the value to $Edit1.Textin the Button1Click function then it appeared with no problem. I am not sure what is going on here but it sure looks like a bug to me.
Steps to Reproduce:
Simply do the "Hello World" test project with the Text property of Edit1 set any value, e.g. "Hello World" and use echo $Edit1->Text in the Button1Click function to display it. At this point I could get nothing. However, if I inserted $Edit1->Text = "Hello World"; before the echo command it displayed with no problem.
Furthermore, changing the assignment to something else e.g. $Edit1->Text = "What in the World"; produced no change in the Edit box's displayed text, even though it still displayed separately on the screen.
I have no idea how to work around this problem.
