Description
exact bahaviour as reported as fixed in Report # 6940 (for Delphi 8)
pasted from Report #6940:
When using WebMenu (Possibly other components as well)
there is a license.licx file which is missing. I have copied one from the ComponentOne folder. When you compile, tou get a missing file error "C:\Documents and Settings\Tony.Rivron.WMENG\bin\TestOne.dll.licenses"
The file is created in the bin folder. It is in the code for the dll project
line says
{$R 'C:\Documents and Settings\Tony.Rivron.WMENG\bin\TestOne.dll.licenses' 'licenses.licx'}
you have to change it to
{$R 'c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\TestOne\bin\TestOne.dll.licenses' 'licenses.licx'}
Steps to Reproduce:
pasted from Report #6940:
Create ASP.NET project.
Add C1WebMenu to form
Add 3 items
Save project.
License.licx file is listed in project manager.
Compile, "Missing file error"
Copy License.licx from "c:\Program Files\ComponentOne Studio.NET\C1WebCommand\Samples\Sample1" folder.
ReCompile
Missing file error.
Select project dll in project manager.
Right-Click
Choose view source
About 15th line down, incorrect path to license file
Change it to project folder with the \bin part in it
Compile project and it runs
