Web Aapplications with IntraWeb by Olaf Monien
TYPE: Preconference Tutorial
LEVEL: Beginning
ABSTRACT: This workshop introduces the development of web applications with IntraWeb. It gives a brief overview of Web applications in general and other available frame works, such as ASP.NET. Then the possibilities of IntraWeb will be shown in depth with a lot of examples. After the very first  Hello World  example, the session management of IW will be explained. When does a session terminate and how do we handle that?
The next step are data-bound web applications. Where to put the DataModule? What about DB pooling? After that we will talk about special topics such as threading, SSL, compression, JavaScript and more.
The new features of IntraWeb 9.0, such as Ajax and ECO will also be demonstrated, with a focus on Model Driven Development (MDD) in general, and how this may improve productivity.
After this session the attendant will be able to start his first real world Web application really fast.
