Description
Interoperability Between Delphi for .NET and Delphi for Win32 by Michael Li
TYPE: Regular Session
LEVEL: Intermediate
PREREQUISITES: None.
ABSTRACT: The reality is we will have to live with Win32 applications for some time to come.  However, .NET offers many compelling features to make it a force that should not be ignored.

In this session, we will not only demonstrate how .NET and Win32 can coexist but how you can leverage your existing Delphi Win32 investment into the future.  Demonstrations will be illustrated using Delphi 2006 (.NET) and Delphi 7 (Win32) and cover the following areas:

- ClassHelper
- .NET applications calling Win32 COM components
- Win32 applications calling .NET classes
- .NET applications calling Win32 or legacy DLLs
- Language InterOp: how class inheritance can mix across multiple .NET languages (Delphi.NET, C#, VB.NET) in a single application
- Performance consideration

Code examples will be provided in Delphi and C# syntax when applicable.

Full presentation material is ready to be reviewed upon requested.
