Advanced Internet Protocols by Jim McKeeth
TYPE: Regular Session
LEVEL: Beginning
PREREQUISITES: Solid understanding of the basics of socket programming
ABSTRACT: Sure, anyone can download a file with HTTP or FTP, but what if that transfer is interrupted mid transfer?  Or what if you want to divide the transfer load between multiple servers?  And how would you implement support for this on the server?  Maybe you want to transfer a file in the background using only unused bandwidth.  This session covers all this and more.
