Description
I'd love to see automatic linking of QC numbers. Say I write #1234 in here, the web client could pick up that I wrote # and then all digits up to the next space, and create a link to that QC number.

Just a follow up.
Maybe something more generic. Like
qc://report/1234
or
qc://comment/1234

I don't think thats useful. Well, it may be useful, and is much more flexible, but I don't think it should be the only option. In fact, I think the qc:// thing is something you should implement as URL handler for IE. I have implemented it for my gnome system, by simply calling my browser with an appropriate URL.
But here, autolinking should be as easy as possible. People should not be required to write a full link in order to make one, but it should be easier for them, by just writing #1234.
Then many more cross-links would exist because someone might not remember the exact URL scheme etc., and wouldn't make a link. With "#1234" its dead-simple, and pretty much fool-proof.
Maybe you could also take a peek at the algorithm bugzilla uses (it definitely is looking for things like that, and even crosses out bugs that are fixed!)

I don't use IE. With Moz I just use keyword shortcuts. I was trying to think of something useful to any client of QC, not just the web client. But you're correct, it should be something relatively easy. I just assumed most programmers would be able to type out a simple url without any problems.
