Description
Hi guys,

Can you add a "project from source code" a la JBuilder (or like the script or makefile one) ?

It would just ask for some include and source directories and compile it.

The console project can do it but I found it quite misleading. I just want to compiler C++ code disregard to whether this is a console application or not.

Marc.
Steps to Reproduce:
None
Workarounds
use the console wizards

What does 'Project from source-code do?'  I'm not a JBuilder user so that doesn't help.

Basically it creates a generic project that a user can add java files to.  It's essentially the same as creating a new console project and adding your sources to it.

This report should probably be closed with a work-around added then.

Thanks

Russell

I disagree.  On closing it, that is.  Adding a workaround is obviously the right thing to do.

JBuilder has a "Project from Source Code" wizard, and it's very convenient to use when migrating an existing project to JBuilder.  If C++BuilderX had better support for source directory paths, like JBuilder, it might be more necessary, but I still think it would be a handy wizard to add.  And I'm hoping that over time CBX's project structure will get a little more elaborate.

I think this should be left open, and if people want it they can vote for it.  If not, they can vote for something else like QC#6357 (is campaigning acceptable on QC? :-).
