Description
After clicking Display tab, a Font scanner dialog is displayed. The text varies from "This might take a few minutes" to "Scanning font name x of xx" either case the dialog never goes away and the application is locked.

The Cancel button does not respond. The main UI is locked up.

This sounds like a variation on a known problem with the JDK.  Usually that results in the IDE crashing, but this might be the same problem.

When that happens, it means you have an invalid font file.  If you run CBX from a console window so you can see its output (or run CBuilder.exe instead of CBuilderW.exe), it will print a list of the fonts as it scans them.  The last one printed is the one that's a problem.  The easiest solution is to simply delete that font, assuming you don't use it for anything.

This commonly happens with the OCR-A font.
