Description
When threads or subthreads are moved there is no way for people who were watching it to know what happened (either using NNTP or the web interface)
Some things that would help are:
1) Leaving a marker post indicating that the sub-thread was moved.
2) Automatically moving NNTP replies to the new thread instead of creating orphan posts.
3) Redirecting HTTP links to the post so that they refer to the new thread.
Some users have also reported problems with NNTP message counts going wrong when a thread is moved after Thunderbird has requested the count but before the message is moved.
