Description
Add buttons to the alignment toolbar that map to various desktop resolutions. These would most likely need to be user configurable. Perhaps have defaults for 800x600, 1024x768. Perhaps a combobox to list resolutions would be better and reduce the number of buttons on the toolbar.
When the user selects one of these buttons lines are drawn on the designing screen that indicates that resolution. This could help make sure your designed forms look ok when ran under those resolutions.
This would mainly be useful for non-resizable forms although having the added ability to stretch the form to a selected resolution (similating maximizing) would be nice also.
Steps to Reproduce:
This is best described with the picture attachment included!
The ability to maximized to the selected resolution would also be a nice touch and having the restore, return back to the original state.

Just to clear up: you want just the lines to appear, or are you asking for the form to be changed as a result of selecting a resolution as well?

ACIUS 4th Dimension used to display little hash marks on the Screen Design canvas showing the bottom right corner of the various resolutions of the monitors available for the Mac (9", 12") etc.

Just the lines to appear. Sort of like guidelines. Perhaps even a ruler with pixels on it could be used.
