Description
Using the trial version of Delphi 2010 to check if the last release would eventually work because we can't localize an application in Delphi 2007 because the Resource DLL Wizard does not work, again we encoutered Resource DLL Wizard issues.

Attempting to localize a Developer Express Demo (ExpressBarRibbonNotepadDemo), we get the following errors:

ObjectTextToResource failed: Line too long on line 2787
- File saved: C:\DEV\lib\Developer Express.VCL\ExpressBars 6\Demos\Delphi\RibbonNotepadDemo\ITA\RibbonNotepadDemoMain.ERR_DFM

(I have attached the file)

And then:

Cannot open file "C:\DEV\lib\Developer Express.VCL\ExpressBars 6\Demos\Delphi\RibbonNotepadDemo\debug\RibbonNotepadDemoD14.drc". The system cannot find the path specified
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Install developer express
2) Open the project in Developer Express.VCL\ExpressBars 6\Demos\Delphi\RibbonNotepadDemo
3) Run the Resource DLL Wizard

It look in *FIVE* releases BorCodeDero has been unable to fix Delphi localization tools.

Despite all of my efforts to report bugs about localization in the past releases, very little has been done.

Could Embarcadero QA at least try to run test about the localization tools with main 3rd party libraries? Or is it a "not developed here" issue? Without libraries like Developer Express Delphi value would be greatly diminished. If we are still using Delphi is just because libraries like this. I see we have to get another tool to localize Delphi app, but if we have to get a tool like Multilizer we are not going to upgrade Delphi - and we are really tired to hit these stupid issue with every release of Delphi. It always get in the way, and we have just to spend more time and money to overcome bugs like this.

Probably this is a duplicete of 7839, which was reported in 2004 and since then is in "reported" state.

because line 2787 here is also part of TcxImageList.

The error returned is different. One may be due to wrong dfm code generated, here it looks it can't parse a 8000 character long string. Maybe the code could require two different fixes - and these are two different bugs.

I have the same error in a D2009 when trying to localize a project. The error occurs in a simple TSQLDataSet CommandText property. Although the query itself has newlines, the DFM translates them into #13#10 and since it is a lenghty query, the line in the DFM exceeds the 8000 characters that seem to be the limit here.
