Every now and then the date/time of posts reported through the NNTP does not match with the real date/time of when a message was actually posted. I'm not talking about seconds or minutes, but more like months/years and some cases invalid dates are reported.

In an attempt to see if this can be reproduced I downloaded embarcadero.public.delphi.non-technical several times (while logging all responses of the server).

It can be reproduced, well sort of, but the results are rather random.

I used two ways of testing:
- retrieving all headers using the XOVER
- retrieving all articles (headers and bodies) using pipe-lined ARTICLE commands.

This could mean that one post in one run appears to be from:
  23:22:47.992 TID=4656- [rx] Date: Tue, 1 Jun 2010 03:55:56 -0700
... and then in the next two runs it was correctly reported as:
  23:54:38.517 TID=6440- [rx] Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 10:52:25 -0800
  00:28:57.425 TID=6856- [rx] Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 10:52:25 -0800

In another occasion a post was orginally reported as being from:
  23:44:32.464 TID=4656- [rx] Date: Thu, 27 May 2010 08:12:40 -0700
... and in another run it was reported as being from:
  22:09:21.790 TID=1488- [rx] Date: Thu, 27 May 2009 06:13:48 -0700
.. note that the last one is an invalid date!

Similar thing happens when using XOVER (see attached reduced log-files).

Some of the invalid dates found in the (attached) logs are:
  21:59:02.302 TID=1488- [rx] Date: Tue, 16 Mar 2009 18:57:07 -0700
(March 16th, 2009 is on a Monday instead of Tuesday)

  22:09:21.790 TID=1488- [rx] Date: Thu, 27 May 2009 06:13:48 -0700
(May 27th, 2009 is on a Wednesday instead of Thursday)
Steps to Reproduce:
Download all posts/headers and verify all timestamps returned by the NNTP server.
